Ryan Blaney New Hampshire Post-Race

Ryan Blaney (@RyanBlaney22), driver of the No. 29 Cooper Standard Ford F-150, scored a 10th place finish in the UNOH 175 Saturday afternoon at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.  He remains third in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series championship standings, 24 points behind the leader.

Blaney started fourth and ran second throughout the early stages of the 175-lap race.  He was second when the first caution set up a round of pit stops on lap 103.  Blaney restarted seventh when the race went green on lap 106.  He wrestled a loose handling truck during the following run but caught a break when a second yellow slowed the pace on lap 147.  On lap 148 Crew Chief Chad Kendrick made the call for a two-tire stop, a move that gained Blaney track position.  He lined up sixth for the restart on lap 152 and held his own despite a chaotic restart that featured three-wide racing.

A few laps later he wasn’t so fortunate.  Blaney once again lined up sixth when the green waved on lap 159 following the third caution.  As the field entered Turn 3, Timothy Peters got loose under Blaney and made contact, sending the No. 29 Ford F-150 for a spin.  Fortunately, Ryan was able to make a great save to avoid damaging the truck.

Ryan pitted on lap 161 for four tires and restarted 14th when the green waved on lap 164.  During the final 11 lap dash to the finish, Ryan aggressively fought through traffic, moving up to 10th place when the checkered flag waved.
