Reddick started sixth and ran inside the top 10 for much of the 175-lap race. He cycled up to second place just before making his first scheduled pit stop of the day under green on lap 70. He was eighth when the first caution of the race came out on lap 102. He restarted 10th on lap 106 after a four tire stop and began to patiently work his way through traffic. Tyler had settled into seventh place when the second yellow of the race slowed the pace on lap 147. Reddick again pitted for four tires and lined up eighth when the green waved on lap 152.
On lap 155 Reddick caught a break as the third caution of the race waved. Tyler was racing hard in traffic on the previous restart when contact with another truck cut down his left front tire. Reddick pitted for a fresh tire and a quick check of his truck’s condition and restarted 13th when the race went green on lap 159.
Over the final 16 laps, Reddick survived three intense restarts to escape with a respectable eighth place finish.
