John Wes Townley Ready to Tackle the Tricky Triangle at Pocono

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series heads to the halfway point of the 2014 series season at Pocono Raceway.  John Wes Townley sits in the 10th-place in the Driver Points standings after 10 events and looks to increase his points position in the running of the Pocono 150 NCWTS race Saturday, August 2, 2014

Townley hopes the seat time in the ARCA Racing Series event on Friday, August 1, 2014 on the ‘Tricky Triangle’ will work to his advantage in the NCWTS race on Saturday.
“I’m excited about going back to Pocono to race in both the Truck Series and the ARCA race,” John Wes Townley said.  “I had my best finish of third there a few months ago in ARCA.  I’m looking to increase that by a couple spots this week and get the win!  Despite the difference in the car and the truck, seat time does really help.  I know that it will help my rhythm for the truck race Saturday.  Mike Beam and the Athenian Motorsports team put together a great truck for Pocono.  I’m looking forward to racing it and really like to have a top-five finish for Zaxby’s.”

Townley has two previous starts on the 2.15-mile track in the NCWTS posting a best finish of eighth-place in 2012.  The Zaxby’s driver has one top-five and two top-10 finishes in three previous starts on the Long Pond, Pennsylvania raceway in the ARCA Racing Series.
