Cale Gale NCWTS Preview: Homestead-Miami Speedway

Back to Defend His Crown…Cale Gale will make his third start of 2013 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) season at Homestead-Miami Speedway after coming off an impressive sixth-place finish last week at Phoenix International Raceway. Gale is looking to use the momentum that his team gained in Phoenix to propel him to defend his title as the 2012 Ford EcoBoost 200 winner.

Rely on Ruud…Ruud will once again grace the sides of the No. 33 Turner Scott Motorsports (TSM) entry at Homestead-Miami Speedway for the NCWTS season finale. Ruud, part of the Rheem family of quality brands, provides heating, cooling and water heating products for residential and light commercial use. Founded more than 100 years ago by the inventor of the water heater, Edwin Ruud, Rheem acquired the Ruud Company in 1960. Today, Rheem continues developing Ruud products in its tradition of quality, reliability and durability. For more information, please visit www.ruud.com.

Chassis Info…The No. 33 team will bring chassis TSM-222 with them to Homestead-Miami Speedway. This particular was last used at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, where James Buescher piloted it to a ninth-place finish.

Last Time Out…Making his second career NCWTS start at Phoenix International Raceway on Friday night, Gale looked to get back to racing and build some momentum in the Lucas Oil 150. Gale and his No. 33 Ruud team started the day by qualifying sixth at the 1.0-mile oval. Gale was able to battle and keep his Ruud Silverado in the top 10 all night, crossing the finish line with a solid sixth-place finish.

Watch and Listen…Tune in for the NCWTS season finale on Friday, November 15. The Ford EcoBoost 200 can be seen live on FOX Sports 1 at 7:30 p.m. EST. The race can also be heard live on SiriusXM Satellite Radio, channel 90 and MRN Radio.

Cale Gale on returning as Defending Race Winner at Homestead:

“This is definitely a unique situation coming into an event as a race winner, but it has a great feeling that comes along with it knowing that everyone is aiming to knock you off the top. Our Ruud team had a great run last time out in Phoenix and I think we will be even more prepared for this weekend’s race. If we can be close to contention at the end, I’ll do everything I can to defend my crown as race winner!”
