After a successful debut with new sponsor OXYwater™ last weekend in Bristol, FAS Lane Racing heads west for another debut this weekend. “Rookie of the Year” contender Timmy Hill will make his first start of the 2013 season as he pilots the No. 32 OXYwater™ Ford in the running of the Auto Club 400 at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California.
“We had a great weekend in Bristol last week and we look forward to our second race with our new sponsor OXYwater™,” stated FAS Lane Racing owner Frank Stoddard. “It is really great to see the excitement with a new sponsor like OXYwater™ and going to these race markets with them for the first time will be fun. We are equally excited for Timmy to get behind the wheel this weekend as well. He did a good job driving for us last year in a handful of races and we expect great things from him this season.”
Hill, the 2011 NASCAR Nationwide Series Rookie of the Year, made three starts for FAS Lane Racing last year. The 20-year old driver would like to add the 2013 Sprint Cup Series Rookie of the Year honor to his racing resume as well but knows that bigger goals are the focus.
“We have our eye on that Rookie of the Year award, but the main thing is for me to continue to grow as a driver and we as a team continue to improve each week,” said Hill. “If last year’s starts I had with FAS Lane Racing and this year’s team performance is any indication, we should have a very successful season.”
The running of the Auto Club 400 at Auto Club Speedway will run this Sunday March 24th at 3:00 p.m. ET. The race can be viewed LIVE nationally on FOX and heard on affiliated MRN radio stations and on Sirius XM NASCAR Radio 90.
