6. He and wife, Lorra, are expecting their first child and the trophy would make a nice addition to the nursery

5. He likes the track

4. Dover Downs Casino would be a happy place for those who bet on Bowyer to win

3. He could add to a banner sports week for the Kansas City area where he grew up as the Chiefs appear on Monday Night Football and the Royals are poised to make the playoffs for the first time in nearly three decades.

2. “Miles the Monster” would have to hold his No. 15 5-hour ENERGY Toyota until June

1.  The party would be awesome and everyone would be invited

“We’ve been good at Dover. I think we finished fourth last time, even had a shot at the win but a caution kind of jumbled things up. But I’ve always run decent there even back in the Nationwide days. I don’t have a win in the Cup Series but we’ve come close. It’s definitely a track that a lot can happen and after last weekend I’m sure it will.”

Comments on the recently announced NASCAR rules changes for 2015:

Brian Pattie, Crew Chief No. 15 5-hour ENERGY Toyota

“I’m fine with the testing ban. It’s good financially for everyone, most importantly the lower funded teams who maybe don’t have the funds to go test. But regardless, I think saving money across the board is beneficial for every team. The low down force will, I believe, be even better for the racing. And if the racing is better that means it’s better for the fans which in turn makes it better for all of us. I think NASCAR did a great job with these changes and think they will translate well for teams as well as fans.”
