Denver-Based MediaCAST Partners with Dream Factory and Alex Kennedy at Watkins Glen

Alex Kennedy will make his fourth NASCAR Sprint Cup Series start of the season behind the wheel of the No. 33 MediaCAST Chevrolet SS for Circle Sport Racing at Watkins Glen International this weekend.  Kennedy, who is coming off of a career-best 28th-place finish last weekend at Pocono Raceway, hopes to demonstrate his road-racing prowess to better that finish in Sunday’s Cheez-It 355 at The Glen.

Along with Denver-based MediaCAST as primary sponsor, the 22-year-old Kennedy will have a little extra motivation and support this weekend as part of his charitable efforts with the Dream Factory.   Through his endeavors with the Dream Factory, the second-largest children’s wish-granting organization in the United States – granting over 25,000 dreams since its inception to critically and chronically ill children from the ages of three through eighteen – Kennedy will host several families at the Sprint Cup race on Sunday.  Kennedy is a National Ambassador and 2010 winner of The Dream Factory’s Presidential Award, and in addition to his work at the track, Kennedy will host a pizza party in Rochester, N.Y., for a larger group of Dream Factory representatives during the race weekend.

“I couldn’t be more excited to go to Watkins Glen this weekend for the second road-course race of the year,” said Kennedy, the only New Mexico native competing in one of NASCAR’s major touring series.  “Having the opportunity to race at Pocono last week, where we were able to finish 28th, definitely provided some positive momentum coming into a race where I feel I have a chance to be even better.  Besides having MediaCAST back on the car, this is an important weekend for the Dream Factory charity. Thanks to NASCAR, we were able to make a few dreams come true for some families to come out to the race track and have a first-class, all-access experience.  I’m proud to support Dream Factory on and off the race track, and I’m glad that doing what I love can help bring some enjoyment to others as well.”
