Some Fans Have A Challenge for Kyle and Samantha Busch

The Cactus Moon Dance Club of Stuart, Florida is challenging Samantha and Kyle Busch to stop by and dance with the Cactus Moon Dance Club on their way to Homestead 2014 to increase charitable donations and make 2014 their biggest year ever!

The Cactus Moon Dancers are a non-profit organization with performing and non-performing members. ALL money raised through our efforts goes 100% to charity. All members pay yearly dues, supply their own uniforms, provide and pay for transportation to all events. These Dancers ages range from 26 to 86!

The Cactus Moon Dancers have appeared in 15 episodes and 2 spotlight performances on the TNN show Club Dance, County Fair, opening weekend at Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede in Orlando, and numerous benefits.

The Cactus Moon Dance campaign of “Penny for your thoughts” has raised more than 80,000 pennies! Sherry Lain is the one to collect, lug, count and deposit these pennies as Sherry is their Treasurer.

Throughout each year, this dance club collects aluminum tabs that they donate to the Ronald McDonald house located in Gainesville, FL.

Every year they compete at “Dancing With our Pals” which is formatted similarly to “Dancing with the Stars” program. The teams are named by star name or dance style. Last year Cactus Moon was “Team Tony” and these dancers raised over $10,500.00 with an overall total for this event of over $50,000.00 for charity. Tony is the director of the Early Learning coalition of St Lucie County Florida.

These dancers raise money weekly in small ways that add up by doing weekly 50/50 raffles at all of their dance classes, as well as pizza night fundraiser’s located at a local establishment Big Apple Pizza. 20% of all pizza sales are added into the Cactus Moon dance clubs charity total. They call this “FUNdraise.”

Each of these Dance Club members pay a 35.00 due yearly, combined with all the money that collect all year, then it is dispersed for a local charity that is near and dear to each member by submitting their nomination. The total dollars is then divided equal and dispersed to each charity as nominated.

After attending a dance convention, The Big Bank Classic in February located in Charlotte NC , a challenge was born! The Cactus Moon dance club is challenging Samantha and Kyle Busch to stop by and dance with the Cactus Moon Dance Club on their way to Homestead 2014. All ticket proceeds collected from this event will be donated to nominated charities at year end, and will be divided up among their charity as these dancers are looking for ways to increase their donations and feel that Samantha and Kyle are just the “drive” they need to help them accomplish their goal!

Do keep in mind that Country line dancing is not only to country songs and has morphed into every genre of music there is today!

The founder of Cactus Moon Dance Club is Lisa Johns-Gross and this organization was born back in 1993. You may visit cactusmoondanceclub.webs.com/ to learn more about them.

The Kyle Busch foundation (www.kylebuschfoundation.org/) also has donated to charities by doing events via fundraiser’s. With both of these organizations “Paying it forward” all for great causes. This could be a spectacular event if Samantha and Kyle would agree to this! The NASCAR fan base, The Cactus Moon Dancers combined with Samantha and Kyle, would give new meaning to “FUNdraising!” Samantha and Kyle via “Project Pink” were able to raise enough money to pay the medical bills of 28 “Champions”who have been treated for breast cancer.

Knowing that I was headed to Martinsville for media coverage 2014, I purchased the Breast Cancer Awareness T-shirt “Check your Headlights” for Sherry Lain and made my way to Victory Lane to have Samantha & Kyle sign this shirt for Sherry as a surprise. Scripting could not have been any better either, as this was Bubba Wallace’s first truck race win and what an historic event this turned out to be! Sherry and I grew up together in small town USA, lost touch, and regained touch and with all the time that had pasted, and we picked up right where we left off. Knowing that Sherry was “One of Samanthas and Kyles Biggest Fan” I wanted to “pay it forward” to Sherry as she done so many nice gestures for so many people over the years. What better way to do this than obtain Samantha and Kyle’s autograph (which by the way was the first time I ever ask any driver for their autograph! but for Sherry I did it!) This shirt was sent to Sherry and she was beyond elated to receive it!

Samantha and Kyle, you both have done some fabulous work for charities and please consider this challenge! Not only would this be fun, as I have known Sherry for 40 years and I know that all of the dancers are already fans of yours and what a “FAN-tastic” way to support charity!

So, Mr. & Mrs. Kyle Busch do you accept? If so you may contact Lisa or myself to get this line dance started!
