K-LOVE Joins Leavine Family Racing for Season-opening DAYTONA 500

K-LOVE will sponsor Michael McDowell and Leavine Family Racing (LFR) during the season-opening DAYTONA 500, the race team announced Monday during the NASCAR Sprint Media Tour hosted by Charlotte Motor Speedway.

K-LOVE will be making its sponsorship premiere at Daytona with the Concord, N.C.-based team; the announcement has also revealed that K-LOVE will appear on the No. 95 Ford Fusion for a total of three NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) races this season as a primary sponsor, including the road course race at Sonoma Raceway and another race to be determined, and it will also serve as an associate sponsor throughout the season.

“We are excited for the new season and our partnership with Michael McDowell and Leavine Family Racing,” said K-LOVE chief creative officer David Pierce. “K-LOVE has supported Michael for five years and we appreciate his skills and his heart both on the track and off. Michael is always encouraging people in their life and we’re excited to encourage his success again this year!”

While the race team continues to secure other sponsorships, team owner Bob Leavine is thrilled to be coming to the DAYTONA 500 with K-LOVE on board.

“K-LOVE represents the values we have at LFR,” Leavine said. “This is a partnership that is beneficial to everyone involved.”

The rest of the race team shares Leavine’s enthusiasm.

“There is an excitement of continuing the K-LOVE relationship with Michael this season at Leavine Family Racing, which builds momentum and provides another building block for the team,” said Jeremy Lange, vice president of marketing and partnerships at Leavine Family Racing. “We are all looking forward to Daytona to kick off the season.”

Qualifying for the DAYTONA 500 is Feb. 15. The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series will begin its 2014 season on Sunday, Feb. 23 with the 56th running of the DAYTONA 500 at Daytona International Speedway.
