Front Row, Ragan, Join NHTSA for Safety Campaign

For the second straight season, David Ragan will carry safety messaging from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) on his No. 34 Front Row Motorsports Ford Fusion.  Ragan will have primary sponsorship from NHTSA as he returns to Talladega Superspeedway as the track’s most recent winner for the October 20th NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Camping World RV Sales 500 and for the November 3rd AAA Texas 500 at Texas Motor Speedway, a track where Ragan has previously won a pole award.

 The relationship debuted last September where Ragan piloted the No. 34 One Text or Call Can Wreck It All / Distraction.gov Ford Fusion to a 21st place finish at Chicagoland Speedway.

 “Safety is our highest priority,” said U.S. Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx.  “This partnership with Front Row and David Ragan is the perfect vehicle to encourage millions of racing fans at the track and across the country to learn more about how they can keep our nation’s roads safe for all drivers.”

 “David Ragan is a great and experienced representative of safety messaging and I’m confident that he will champion our cause well. We’re happy to be teamed up with Front Row and David Ragan once again,” commented Administrator David Strickland.

 Team owner Bob Jenkins welcomes NHTSA back aboard the No. 34 car. “We continue to position David Ragan as the premier safety spokesperson in NASCAR.  I can’t think of another driver in the garage that has more successfully served as the face of multiple safety campaigns,” said Jenkins. “Our continued relationship with NHTSA is evidence of David’s commitment to safety on and off the track.”

 “Whether I’m on the highway or on the racetrack, my commitment to safety remains the same” explained Ragan. “Hopefully fans can look at me as an example and say ‘If that guy is a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver and he’s committed to driving safe, then maybe I’ll take a look at what I need to do to be safer on the road in my own vehicle as well,'” concluded Ragan.
