Reutimann fights handling issues and finishes 26th in Charlotte

David Reutimann and the No. 83 Burger King / Dr Pepper Toyota Camry team finished 26th at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway on Saturday, October 12.  As track conditions changed throughout the night, the BK Racing team worked diligently throughout the race to fine-tune the balance of their car allowing Reutimann to bring home another top-30 finish.

Reutimann and the No. 83 Burger King / Dr Pepper Toyota Camry team rolled off 36th for the Bank of America 500.  Despite being a bit free at the start of the race, Reutimann immediately started to move through the field earning a position inside the top 30 by lap 60.  With his car a bit free on the start, the BK Racing team went to work fine-tuning the handling of their Toyota Camry.  With the track temperature continuing to change as the evening progressed, Reutimann teetered between a car that was too loose on entry and too tight through the center.  Able to maintain track position, Reutimann crossed the finish line in the 26th position.

“I’m proud of the effort of our Burger King / Dr Pepper Toyota Camry team tonight,” commented Reutimann.  “The balance of the car kept going back and forth, but the team did a great job continually making changes and getting us better.  After the last few weeks that we’ve had, it feels good to get through the race and just bring home a solid finish.  I’m looking forward to getting back on the track next weekend at Talladega Superspeedway.  Anything can happen at Talladega, and for us, I’m looking forward to a great race and a solid finish.”
