Solid day results in 26th-place finish for Reutimann in New Hampshire

David Reutimann and the No. 83 Burger King / Dr. Pepper Toyota Camry finished 26th at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Sunday, September 22.  In one of their strongest races over the last few weeks, Reutimann and his BK Racing team had strong pit stops and were able to maintain their track position all day to bring home a solid 26th-place finish.

Reutimann rolled off 35th for the 300-lap SYLVANIA 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.  With a well-balanced racecar, Reutimann was able to pick up more than 10 positions to be racing in 22nd by lap 60.  As the afternoon progressed and temperatures cooled at the one-mile speedway in New Hampshire’s lake region, Reutimann’s No. 83 Camry began to develop a loose handling condition.  The BK Racing team utilized each caution period to adjust the balance of their racecar.  With a day full of solid pit stops and well-planned adjustments, the No. 83 Burger King / Dr. Pepper Toyota Camry team was able to maintain the track position needed for a solid finish.  When the checkered flag waved, Reutimann was scored with a 26th-place finish.

“I’m really proud of the effort from my Burger King / Dr. Pepper Toyota Camry team today,” commented Reutimann.  “They built a great race car, and with a solid strategy and a bit of luck, we were able to bring home a strong finish.  Our car started to get a little bit loose toward the end of the race, but we were able to maintain our position on the track and finish on the lead lap.  Going into another short-track race next weekend at Dover International Speedway, our performance today excites me even more.  Hopefully we will be able to back it up next week.”
