Ryan Blaney Canadian Tire Motorsport Park Preview

Ryan Blaney (@RyanBlaney22), driver of the No. 29 Cooper Standard Ford F-150, will make his first career start on a road course in a NASCAR National Series event at the Canadian Tire Motorsports Park during the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) Chevrolet Silverado 250 this Sunday afternoon.

Earlier this year, Blaney competed in the ARCA Racing Series 2013 Scott 160 at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. He started fourth and finished fifth is a very solid road course debut on a challenging track.

Blaney is coming off a resilient effort at Bristol Motor Speedway last Wednesday night where he started on the outside of the front row and finished third after battling all night for the win, but didn’t have the grip he needed late in the going to put the Cooper Standard Ford in victory lane.

The No. 29 BKR team currently sits seventh in the NCWTS driver points standings, 77 points back from first.

“I can’t wait to get on the road course and see what we’ve got. I know we’ll be fast. This team has been on a tear of late. I’m confident our Cooper Standard team will have a shot at winning Sunday afternoon which will put us right back in the championship hunt.”
