Stenhouse to ‘Clean Up’ Media at Kansas

Instead of the Zest ‘tear away’ paint scheme at Kansas Speedway this weekend, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. will clean up the media by giving each media member a No. 17 car shaped Zest soap bar. While the No. 17 Zest team will not actually ‘tear away’ a paint scheme in Sunday’s Sprint Cup race, members of the media will be able to ‘tear away’ a bar of soap and work throughout the weekend with the peace of mind that comes only from being “Zestfully Clean”.

The factory where the soap is produced is approximately 11 miles from Kansas Speedway and Stenhouse will make a visit there on Thursday, where he plans on picking up his special gift for the media on hand this weekend in Kansas.

“With the Zest factory right down the road from the track,” Stenhouse said. “I thought it would be fitting to give each media member the same bars of Zest soap that the No. 17 team uses. It looks just like our race car and we have a lot of fun with it. I know those guys in the media work awfully hard throughout the weekend, but no matter how hard they work this weekend, the media in Kansas will definitely have that extra perk in their step knowing they are Zestfully Clean.”

Stenhouse ‘cleaned’ up the competition in Kansas last fall, with a dramatic victory that saw the two-time Nationwide Series Champion come from two laps down to win the race. He will make his first career Sprint Cup start at the 1.5-mile oval this weekend, but has finished sixth or better in three of his career NNS starts at the track.
